Around the World with Quintet Attacca

Each week, a new theme introduces young music enthusiasts andtheir adult companions to basic musical concepts and helps them getto know the woodwind family by solving The Mystery of the MissingMusical Clock (Feb. 25), choosing a Quintet Idol winner (March 3),and playing Where in the World is Quintet Attacca? (March 10).After the concert, a special treasure hunt is available forfamilies to explore the Museum together.



Family Concert: Introducing: Wolfgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry

Performance created by and featuring musician Rami Vamos,that introduces children to the instrumentation and texturesof the string quartet as well as the compositional process. Themediocre genius, Schmutzinberry, creates his masterpiece to thesounds of a live string quartet. Ludwig van Beethoven even makes acameo.

Grammy-nominated Justin Roberts is truly one of the “all-stars” of the indie family music scene. With numerous national awards and recognition and a devoted fan base, Justin and The Not Ready for Naptime Players dish out unexpectedly intelligent and whimsically rocking music for kids and their parents.
