What’s up at ChicagoParent.com

Welcome to ChicagoParent.com, where we work hard to bring you the latest Chicago-area news, tidbits and fun nuggets. Yes, fun nuggets. We’re constantly making changes to the site – some big, some small – to make it your one-stop shop for the stories, advice and community connections you care about.

This week, you may have noticed a new set of navigation options at the top of the site. You haven’t? Well, go ahead and take a look. Right up there under that good-lookin’ skyline. We’ve replaced our old navigation bar with one we think will help you find what you’re looking for faster. A quick look at the changes:

“Calendar?” That’s so 2010. Try “Things to Do,” where you’ll find our weekend picks, not-to-miss events for the coming month, tips on freebies, and ideas to fill a rainy day, in addition to a link to our full calendar.

Under “News and Advice,” you’ll find stories, tips, expert interviews and more, organized into the categories we write most about. For starters: Education, Health, Special Needs, Birthday Parties, Products & Style and our Chicago Central – a collection of the latest and greatest from our fair city. More topics coming soon…

Under “blogs,” we’ve made it easier than ever to see the names and faces behind our blogs. We’ll feature a different blog each month and we hope you’ll find at least one blogger that speaks to your interests and personality.

We know some people still like the idea of a monthly magazine, so you can get to the latest issue of any of our four publications under “Magazine.”
