In fact, during the summer months, visitors can almost always find an impromptu bean-bag tournament or pick-up baseball game happening in the resort’s central park.
Beachwalk provides guests with unlimited use of tennis and basketball courts. Guests can bring their own equipment or rent it there. Basketball, with hoops that can be adjusted to the height of players, is especially popular. Or, meet up with other little kids at the playground in Cason Park. Some families seem to live in the outdoor pool. Between sandcastle-building contests and scavenger hunts, the fishing pond and paddle boat rental, outdoor movies and live concerts, visitors can stay busy from morning till night without ever leaving the resort grounds.
Although guests are welcome to play and swim in Beachwalk’s centrally located Lake Kai, the private access to one of Lake Michigan’s best beaches is the real draw. Every home comes with a wagon for loading beach gear. Then it’s just a short walk to the Boardwalk and the famous dunes.
