Trick-or-treat for a good cause

Who doesn’t remember taking the UNICEF orange collection boxes door-to-door to collect money for needy kids around the world? Now UNICEF has taken its fundraising one step further by offering steps on its Web site on how to develop a fundraising program, from bake sales to read-a-thons to car washes.

The traditional fundraising method of trick-or-treating for donations is still encouraged and collection boxes are available at local Pier 1 Imports and Hallmark stores. They can also be ordered online at unicefusa.org/trickortreat or by phone at (800) FOR-KIDS.
