Traveling with a kid with food allergies? There’s an app for that

Traveling with kids already has plenty of challenges–working around naptimes, finding things to do that they (and you) will enjoy, figuring out a family vacation budget–without adding in the challenges of feeding a kid with food allergies.

I’m lucky. I just had to figure out how to feed a picky eater when we were traveling (all-inclusive resorts turned out to be a great answer–rooms full of buffet lines that were sure to have at least one thing he would eat).

But feeding a kid with a potentially life-threatening food allergy? Turns out there’s an app for that.

The Chicago people who created the terrific Gluten-Free and Allergy-Free Passport books now have smartphone apps for finding allergy-free fast food joints and restaurants as well as allergy-safe eating at Disney World.
