Titanic exhibit comes to town

Families can get a free look at some of the treasures from the Titanic when a mobile museum comes to the Chicago area this summer. “Titanic: Treasures from the Deep” is traveling through the United States. The exhibit is based on the Titanic exhibit that toured museums in recent years.

The mobile museum tells the story of the Titanic through authentic artifacts recovered from the wreck site. More than 60 items, including pieces of the ship and personal items from Titanic passengers, will be displayed.

The museum will be at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, June 11-14; Gurnee Mills Mall in Gurnee, June 18-21; Orland Square Mall in Orland Park, June 25-28; and at Naperville’s Ribfest, July 2-5.

The museum is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.countrytitanic.com .
