3 children’s shows to see

Chicago proudly boasts about its terrific live theater, and children’s productions are no exception. From national tours (think “Mary Poppins”) to the tiniest park district productions, families can find performances to fit any age, schedule or price point. Here are three to see in November.

1) The Princess
and the Pea
With its penchant for turning fairy tales on their ears, Chicago Kids Company will delight young audiences with this musical adaptation of a classic story. Is she really a princess? How high do those mattresses go? Does the prince get the princess? Find out the answers through catchy music, clever costumes and even some audience participation.
