Healthy sweet potatoes recipe just in time for Thanksgiving

This sweet potato recipe has been one of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes since I was a child. The original recipe included butter, cream, and brown sugar. I promise you won’t miss all the unhealthy ingredients! The orange juice and cinnamon do just the trick! I hope this healthy and easy recipe becomes one of your family’s favorites too!

Healthy & easy whipped sweet potatoes with marshmallows

Ingredients

2 4-ounce cans of cut yams in light syrup

¼ cup orange juice

2 Tbsp. cinnamon

1 package miniature marshmallows

Baking butter spray

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a mixer, combine yams, orange juice, and cinnamon and mix until smooth.

Lightly spray 9×13 glass baking dish with baking spray.

Pour mixture into baking dish.

Bake in oven for 20 minutes. Take out of oven and cover entire mixture with even layer of marshmallows.

Put back into oven for 5-7 minutes or until the top of marshmallows are golden brown. Serve hot.
