Zoo babies: Brookfield Zoo welcomes new Snow Leopard cub

In the category of “Animals we’d totally adopt if it were legal” Brookfield Zoo’s Snow Lepoard cub ranks right up there with the baby sloth bears and the Moholi bushbaby.

Born on June 13, the cub is the first offspring of proud parents Sarani (mother) and Sabu. Since birth he’s spent his time bonding with his mother in an area closed off from viewing. He’s expected to make his public debut at the zoo in mid-September. Until then, the zoo posted a video so you can practice your “Awwww” before seeing this little cub in-person.
