The best summer smoothie recipes from Pinterest

In an attempt to liven up our healthy living this summer, one of my FAVORITE things to make has to be smoothies. You can pack them full of fruits (and veggies) and kids are none-the-wiser. When I stumbled across this pinfor 12 Smoothies to Make this Summer, I decided to give a few of them a whirl. Here are my favorites in no particular order:

1. Peanut Butter Banana Skinny Green Smoothie

Peanut Butter? Spinach? Sounds awesome, right? But I assure you, you can barely taste those nutritious greens and this filling smoothie is the perfect morning pick-me-up. It’s super easy to make and when I don’t have almond milk, skim milk is a great substitute.

2. Minute to Win It “60 Second Smoothie”

Thanks to Guy Fieri and his promotion of this quick and yummy drink. Strawberries, banana, yogurt & kiwi make for a smooth after-swimming snack and paired with a salad at lunchtime.

3. Sunrise Smoothie

Carrots, I know what you’re thinking, but whip up this smoothie and think “Dreamsicle.” The carrots give some extra nutritional punch without a gritty taste. (This is also perfect if you have a little one and already have baby food laying around the house!)

4. Breakfast on the Go!

Who doesn’t love coffee in the morning? Why not use your blender to make a complete breakfast treat that adds in that morning caffeine? Delicious and with a hint of chocolate, you’ll jump out of bed in the morning ready to make this one.

5. Peachberry Smoothie

Finally, this peachberry smoothie is sitting on my kitchen table as we speak. Refreshing and great to utilize those summer fruits.

What’s your favorite go-to smoothie? Do your kids drink them up? We love to add spinach to almost every single one we concoct. I love using the Oster MyBlend especially as a mom because it means I can make something nutritious on the go. For more of my Pinterest favorites, check out our Pinterest board.
