Chicago Children’s Museum Historical Characters Scavenger Hunt

If it’s true, as Nelson Mandela said, that “courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it,” our country has seen a surplus of courageous people throughout history. Meet some of those famous folks at the Chicago Children’s Museum, where kids take part in a history scavenger hunt and chat with museum staff dressed as important Americans to learn how they shaped the current-day U.S.A. at “America’s Got COURAGE!” Free with admission. 1 p.m. Feb. 13. 700 E. Grand Ave. at Navy Pier, Chicago. (312) 527-1000, chicagochildrensmuseum.org.
