Reptile Rampage at Wildlife Discovery Center

We’ll admit to giving reptiles a bad rap-the hissing, the slithering, the forked tongues! So maybe it’s time for a little respect.

Stop by Reptile Rampage to meet more than 150 animals, including rattlesnakes, crocodilians and tortoises. Plus, kids can compare notes with grown-up reptile enthusiasts, make snakes from Play-Doh and enjoy hand-painted tattoos and face painting. Hopefully the only scales you take home will wash off in the bath.

$8, $5 kids. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. March 11. Wildlife Discovery Center at Elawa Farm, 1401 Middlefork Drive, Lake Forest. (847) 615-4388, wildlifediscoverycenter.org.
