Playsets recalled due to fall hazard

After more than 1,400 reports of rotting ladders and 16 injuries, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall Adventure Playsets Wooden Play Sets Thursday. The playset’s wooden monkey bars can rot over time, causing children to fall.

Sixteen kids under the age of 8 were injured by the rotting ladder, resulting in nine emergency room visits. About 275,000 have been sold in the United States.
