Pixar Animation Studios sent ComingSoon.net a really fun holiday gift: a fold-out card featuring concept art for four of their upcoming films. We love just about everything Pixar does, almost as much as our kids love it, and are excited to learn more about the new films.
In the meantime, here’s a little sneak peek:
1. Monsters University
We can tell from the Monsters University website that’s already up-and-running that this is going to be a great prequel to the family favorite “Mosnters, Inc.”. To hold you over until the set theater release date this June, click around the website and learn more about the coolest monster school.
2. The Good Dinosaur
We love learning about dinosaurs. During visits to the Field, you practically have to drag us away from staring at Sue. So you could say we’re pretty excited for this May 2014 release. According to Pixar Wiki, “The Good Dinosaur” is about a world in which the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct. Sounds pretty cool, as long as those giant dinosaurs don’t get all “Jurassic Park” on us.
3. Untitled/Inside the Mind
There isn’t a lot of information out yet about this currently untitled film but just like all of our favorite DisneyPixar movies, we’re sure it will be an exciting journey. All that’s been promised is a trip inside the mind, which sounds pretty interesting to us. Plus, we can already imagine those little guys in the concept art as plush toys.
4. Untitled/Dia de los Muertos
We learned a lot about Dia de los Muertos this year through a visit to Pilsen and are excited to see this cultural holiday get more recognition. This film isn’t scheduled to be released until 2016 but it’s already 2013 and time seems to fly by these days. We don’t know a lot about the film yet, except the team that created “Toy Story 3” is behind it and that’s a great sign.
All four of these films sound great and we can’t wait to see more art and the movie trailers for each.
What upcoming film is your family looking forward to? Tell us below in the comments.
