Pediped launches the Pediped Foundation to benefit children’s charities

Fashion-forward footwear company, Pediped, prides itself on its mission of giving back to children in need, and in 2011, has taken this goal to a new level with the launch of the Pediped Foundation.

Established by the company’s founders and co-owners, Brian and Angela Edgeworth and co-owner Rudy Glocker, the foundation plans to enhance the lives of children while providing financial support directly to charities and organizations – especially those dedicated to health, education, basic necessities and personal fulfillment – that are aligned with that goal.

Since the company’s inception five years ago, Pediped has donated nearly $700,000 in monetary and product donations to children’s charities. These donations include more than $445,000 to the Make-A-Wish foundation, which has helped to grant 60 wishes for children, and 2,000 pairs of shoes to the children of Haiti.

A Purchases with Purpose fundraiser will be hosted on pediped.com starting Jan. 5-Feb. 6 to benefit the foundation. During the fundraiser, select styles will be marked down as much as 50%, and half of the sales from the promotion will be donated to the foundation.
