Killer asparagus? Northbrook-based Land of Nod recalls toy veggies for cut hazard

Land of Nod, a Northbrook, Ill.,-based children’s toy company, recalled about 2,100 toy vegetable sets on Thursday. The company warns that the metal wire in the toy asparagus can become exposed, posing a laceration hazard to children.

About 2,1000 “Play With Your Veggies” sets have been sold, mostly in Illinois. Only the asparagus is affected; the other felt-covered toys are safe.

If you have one of these sets, contact Land of Nod at (800) 933-9904 or emailrecall@landofnod.com for a replacement.
