Chicago New Year’s Eve parties for kids

Adults aren’t the only ones who can celebrate the New Year. There are events all over Chicagoland on Dec. 31 – from afternoon events for younger kids to late- and over-nighters for tweens. Wherever you live, there’s a party for your kids to ring in the new year!

Family-Friendly Noon Year’s Eve

Celebrate New Year’s Eve as a family at a Countdown Party withcake, poppers and more. Mock countdown at noon.


Noon Year’s Eve Party

Enjoy Pump It Up play, plus pizza, drinks, a sparkling beverage, countdown balloon drop and party favor.


Itsy Bitsy New Year’s Eve Countdown

Celebrate the holiday with your young ones. The gym is filled with an inflatable for climbing, riding toys and areas to play a variety of activities. All activities will be unstructured and parents must supervise their children. Ring in the New Year at noon with a balloon drop. The first 200 registrants will receive a noisemaker and lei.


Zoo Year’s Eve Celebration

Celebration includes festive music, games, and prizes. An earlycountdown for families will take place at 8 p.m. For moreinformation, call or visit the Web site.


Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Celebration

This event features on and off the ice family fun, with acountdown and sparkling juice toast at 8 p.m. Skating, a discjockey, and kids’ crafts are included.


Countdown to Fun!

Design a party hat, create a noise maker, and get showered with confetti as we find out where in the world it’s midnight each hour and countdown to fun. Ring in the New Year all afternoon with this energetic blend of math, physics, fun, and art.



Bubble Bash 2016: Under the Sea

Dive into an Under The Sea voyage complete with fish kites, sand painting, turtle shell weaving and more.


Noon Year’s Eve

Activities include creating festive crowns and noisemakers, the last dance party of 2016, a countdown to high noon, and a multi-colored confetti finish.


New Year’s Eve Family Lake Fireworks Cruise

Family cruise showcasing Chicago’s colorful history and frontrow seats to the New Year’s Eve Family Fireworks display.


New Year’s Eve Family Architecture Fireworks Cruise

Combination Architecture/Fireworks Cruise through all threebranches of the Chicago River ending with an up-close view of theNew Year’s Eve Family Fireworks display.


Wonder Works’ New Years Eve

Wonder Works is counting down to the new year with a party forthe whole family. Countdowns every hour, sparkling cider, guidedcrafts, face painting, music and singing all included for the priceof general admission.


New Year’s Celebration

Ring in 2017 with bricktacular balloon drops, music and games at noon, 3 and and 6 p.m. Guests can also enjoy the Center’s nine attractions.
