It’s National Robotics Week and Chicago’s Museum of Science and industry is going to be overrun by very smart machines with their Robot Block Party.
Each day through Sunday, April 15, there will be lectures and demonstrations of robots like the TOPY Anie II, designed for navigating narrow spaces; or the the Paro, a stuffed animal robot that reduces stress for hospital and nursing home patients; or Zeno, a robot with amazing facial expressions.
On April 14 (and a bit on April 15) visitors will get the chance to ask questions of inventors, see robotics competitions and hear about what universities are focusing on for the future of robotics.
Want to build a robot yourself? Take a workshop on Wednesday or Thursday, April 11 or 12.
