How has being a mom inspired you?

It makes me think more about the future. It inspires me to be a better person and try to make his future better. I obviously love being a mom; he is the best kid ever. He inspires me to be a good mom and to help him be a good person growing up.

How did your relationship with Niklas change when Theo came along?

I think we became closer. I didn’t have the easiest birth, it was a hard time for me. That definitely grew us stronger as a couple and as a family. Both Niklas and I have the same values, which makes us stronger as a family. We definitely want to see him grow up like a normal kid. I feel like kids grow up so much faster than they should; we want him to grow up, to feel and be happy, have fun as a kid as long as possible.

Name one thing about being a mom you didn’t expect:

Everybody says that you can’t explain how much you love your child when you have them. But I didn’t expect you could love someone so much. I knew I would love him, obviously, but it’s on a different level. I didn’t expect it to be like this. I didn’t expect to worry about his future this much.

What is your favorite thing to do with your boys?

We love to hang out as a family, watch movies. (Theo) loves music and loves to go to music class. Niklas’ schedule and my schedule are a little bit all over the place. When we are all together, we just try to be together as a family and hang out.

What are your three fashion tips for busy moms?

Take time for yourself. You become a better mom if you actually take care of yourself, too. Skinny jeans, a T-shirt and leather jacket–it’s basic, it’s simple and it always works. You don’t have to run around in sweats. Concealer is your best friend.
