New Clothes for a Mom Makeover

With a down-to-earth style, Lutz’ specialty is wardrobe makeovers that usually start in the closet and end with her creating a wardrobe that helps women dress effortlessly.

“I gave her some color,” says Lutz. “[Megan] was mostly wearing black and mostly wearing hoodies and comfortable wear-and she said she’s feminine. She says she likes to be pretty, likes to dress up, it makes her feel good.”

So they created two looks, a party girl look and a fun jean look.

Lutz says she worked with Megan’s color scheme, with the rich purples complementing her skin tone. She accessorized the jean look with jewelry, a printed top and belt, and added a fun bag that could go from work to shopping to going out to the party girl look.

TIPS FOR PICKING OUT CLOTHES

Know your colors

“I think colors are key,” Lutz says. Find a color that makes your face light up. Fit is really important

“A lot of moms, they’ve gone through probably different body changes-our bodies change every six years naturally-so I would say just making sure you invest in the right fit wherever you are. I hear a lot of moms saying, ‘well when I lose the weight, then I am going to get the right pair of jeans.’ And I always say, ‘do it right now, because you are living right now.’ If you have things that fit, they are just going to naturally look good on you and you are going to feel better.” Edit your closet

“It can be frustrating when you have old clothes that don’t fit or things you are not putting on because they don’t look good on you. Edit and clean it out so you can have a fresh pallet and then you know where your holes are and you know where you need to shop.” With a down-to-earth style, Lutz’ specialty is wardrobe makeovers that usually start in the closet and end with her creating a wardrobe that helps women dress effortlessly.
