Homemade Olympic medal

Another simple Olympic-themed project is making medals with your little Olympians. Organize some friendly “Olympic competition” between the kids, complete with a medal ceremony to show off your creations.

Instructions:

Paint round plastic lids with gold, silver or bronze paint. Addglitter or other decorations if you wish.

Once the paint is completely dry, use a hole punch to make ahole on each side of the lid.

Reuse a ribbon from around the house to complete your medal.Thread the ribbon through the holes, securing with knots on thebackside and the medal is ready to be awarded to the bestcompetitor.

Materials:

  • Plastic cover from a large container (such as a sour cream orhummus container)
  • Gold, silver and bronze paint
  • Paint brush
  • Glitter
  • Hole punch
  • Thick ribbon (about 3 feet)
