Make your own ice cream

Nothing tastes as great to kids than something they make themselves. Plus, this will keep them busy while you sneak in some badly needed me-time.

You need:

1 1-pound coffee can with lid 1 3-pound coffee can with lid Ice Salt 1 pint whipping cream 1/2 cup sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup crushed strawberries

Put last four ingredients into small coffee can and mix. Place inside large can and pack the area between cans with salt and ice.

Roll on floor back and forth until ice cream is firm.

After about 15 minutes you may need to add more salt and ice and continue rolling. Mittens are helpful because the can gets very cold.
