Go to camp at the Lincoln Park Zoo for free

Summer camp can be expensive, but the Lincoln Park Zoo is hoping to give kids a memorable experience – for free. The zoo is handing out scholarships for kids to attend one of two camps they run.

Ten slots are open for one week of the zoo’s the Conservation Camp, which is for kids aged 4 years to grade 4. In addition, two scholarships are being offered for the 2-week Zoo Crew programs, for kids in grades 5-8.

Applications are available now on the zoo’s website www.lpzoo.org. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is April 9. Over the past three years the zoo has offered summer camp scholarships to 76 kids.
