Live green at home and school

If you’re ready to take green living beyond your home, encourage your child’s school to participate in National Green Week Feb. 2-8. National Green Week is designed to jumpstart a commitment to environmental education and help kids develop eco-friendly habits.

The free program is designed for kids in kindergarten through 12th grade. Schools can enroll at www.nationalgreenweek.com or call (888) 668-2298. During this week, parents are encouraged to send snacks and drinks in reusable containers while kids participate in environmental activities.

Parents and schools are encouraged to sign up now so that they can take advantage of free environmental programs and events leading up to the event.
