In an exciting made-for-kids partnership, Build-A-Bear is teaming up with Lalaloopsy to help kick off a year of super silly party fun to celebrate the brand’s fifth anniversary.
Crumbs Sugar Cookie
Beginning on Aug. 7, fans of the rag dolls can visit their nearest Build-A-Bear Workshop location to purchase two classic characters: Crumbs Sugar Cookie (my daughter’s personal favorite) and Peanut Big Top.
In the same interactive, do-it-yourself spirit that Build-A-Bear has come to evoke, kids can customize their Lalaloopsy plush dolls with a variety of party frocks and accessories.
My daughter was a Build-A-Bear first-timer and was so excited to build her own doll! For those unfamiliar, the process goes something like this: After choosing their doll (and optional voice box), kids assist employees in filling it with fluff, place a small satin heart inside (along with special wishes) and finally, “sew” up the last stitch, which as the story goes, is what magically brings the Lalaloopsy doll to life.
The dolls are super soft, and at about 19 inches, are larger than I was expecting. They’re colorful, bright and would make the perfect gift for any Lalaloopsy-obsessed kid.
Lalaloopsy dolls retail for $28 (not including accessories).
