The new kid convention on the block

There’s a new kid convention in town; it has been much anticipated and highly requested for years. KidCon is the brainchild of MommyCon founder and entrepreneur, Xza Higgins.

MommyCon has been a prevalent force in the parenting community for the past few years, and now they’re expanding their reach beyond babies. The kid-centric KidCon is for ages 0-100, because everyone is a kid at heart!

More than eight different stations target different age groups. For example, the crawlers and toddlers station offers different activities like pretend play and dress-up, and there are no small parts, just great stuff that will educate and inspire the little ones. There are even stations focused on sensory play, sports, music and coding. And, for the ones that are ready to talk about it … the birds and the bees. Because hearing about it on the playground is probably not the best way to learn about S-E-X.

Speakers have yet to be announced, but a preview schedule will be available approximately 60 days prior to the event date. You can expect great sessions geared toward children ages 3-13 and topics focused on children with special needs.

The first annual KidCon is scheduled for December 7-8 and tickets are on sale now. There are four admission tiers, from basic admission for $5 which will get you entry for Saturday only and access to the exhibit hall, to the VIP tier for $50, which gives you entry both Friday and Saturday, plus access to the exhibits and sessions, and some cool swag. Admission for kids is free, but registration is needed for each child attending with you.

With upwards of 5,000 families expected to attend, this event will be a guaranteed showstopper. Grab your tickets before they are all gone. And pssst … keep an eye out for super special deals, like 50 percent off admission.

Do you have a child with special needs? Be sure to email at least 60 days in advance to info@kidcon.com for requests with assistance such as ASL interpreters.
