The hunt is on

Whether you’re young or old—or even of canine persuasion—chances are there is an Easter celebration egg-specially for you.

Celebrate the end of winter at the second annual Spring Eggstravaganza, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. April 8 at Soldier Field Stadium, 425 E. McFetridge Dr., Chicago. After brunch in the Cadillac Club, kids 10 and under can take to the field for a candy grab and other bunny fun. This is the only time the public is allowed on the stadium field. The fun is broadcast on two super-size video boards so parents can cheer from the sidelines. Reservations required by April 7. $15, $8 kids 10 and under. Call (312) 235-7162.

If wet and wild is your kids’ thing, dive for plastic Easter eggs in a heated swimming pool at the annual Underwater Egg Hunt and Swim Party, 1-3 p.m. April 8 at the Collins Indoor Aquatic Center, 391 Illini Dr., Carol Stream. Eggs can be redeemed for prizes. Ages 3 and up. Registration required. $15, $7 residents. Call (630) 784-6100.

The icing on the Easter cake is Oak Lawn Park District’s Easter Bunny Skating Party, 1:30-2:50 p.m. April 9 at the Oak Lawn Ice Arena, 9320 S. Kenton Ave., Oak Lawn. The afternoon includes open skate, a picture with the Easter Bunny and other activities. $6, $7 kids, $2.50 skate rental. Call (708) 857-5173.
