With Halloween just around the corner, school parties, family fests and times to enjoy pumpkins are approaching and all around us. I’ve collected some great pins as you prepare to enjoy the season to the fullest.
Whether you’re making chili, a S’mores bar or passing out mugs of pumpkin-y goodness, Small Fry Blog created a harvest party that’s out of this world and one that I plan to create next year. I also love the concept of a candy apple table where guests can create their own concoction of goodies using ingredients that you provide. I attended a wedding last year that utilized this and it doubled as a favor for guests.
One of my favorite recipes (not nut-free) that would be perfect for your next gathering is Scarecrow Crunch – a festive take on the traditional trail mix. Nuts can always be substituted for something you have on hand – dried fruits, seeds or something else that your kids would really enjoy.
Looking for fun displays of your edibles? What about carving & scooping pumpkins to double as decor and beverage bowl? You can also used inexpensive candy, like candy corn, as filler for a beautiful fall centerpiece. I love the use of mason jars to prepare homemade jams, serve beverages in or dress up a simple tablescape.
