In your own words, tell me what you think the real story of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is.
Well, it’s the story of me, of course! But it’s about the true meaning of the holidays which is spending time with the people most important to you.
Name a surprising thing about yourself that people may not know.
I love deep dish pizza almost as much as Roast Beast…but don’t tell the Whos.
Are you an only child?
Yes, I am. Since I’m one of a kind, my parents decided to quit while they were ahead.
How’d you end up way high on Mount Crumpit in the first place?
Well, I had to get as far away from the Whos as possible, and Mount Crumpit seemed like the ideal choice. Unfortunately, I can still hear them sing, but moving at this point would be too much of a hassle!
Are those Whos really all that bad?
Yes!! All they do is sing and dance all day and are obsessed with Christmas!! But I guess that Cindy Lou isn’t so bad.
If there were a sequel to this tale, what do you think it’d be about?
I think my trusty sidekick Max the Dog might have a few interesting stories of his own to tell.
Do you have a favorite show on TV? How about a least favorite one?
I’m not much of a TV person. But I love to go to the theater, especially the Chicago Theatre!
Where’s the best place for a Grinch to hang out in Chicago? And where’s a place he should avoid?
A Grinch should avoid anywhere where there are lots of crowds (with the exception of the Chicago Theatre November 20-29!) The best place for a Grinch to hang out is under a bridge or a nice, dark cave.
According to you, what’s the most fantastic Christmas present anyone could possibly receive?
A nice helping of Roast Beast!
Why should Chicago kids come see your show?
Well, to see me, of course! But if they really want to experience all those things the Whos like about Christmas: happiness, joy and spending time with loved ones, then what better way than to see Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical.
