Emily Oaks Nature Center is a natural gem in Skokie with ample free parking, a paved path for strollers (with the exception of the path around Kessem Pond), picnic tables for a quick snack break and an indoor nature center with bathrooms. It’s a great place for families to explore this fall.
The Woodland Wander Inn at Emily Oaks has plenty of opportunities for your little ones to learn about local nature. They can press buttons to hear bird calls and peek into boxes filled with faux wildlife.
This portion of the playground is geared toward younger kiddos and there is another area for equipped for older ones, too.
While you are exploring, you may spy a Canadian Goose or spot a Cooper’s Hawk or a Downy Woodpecker flying by.
