Field Museum launches virtual coral reef

Kids have a chance to learn about coral reefs through the Field Museum’s partnership with Whyville.net.

The WhyReef project uses virtual world simulation technology. Like a real coral reef, WhyReef has spinner dolphins, sea turtles and the humphead parrotfish. Users also explore"who-eats-whom” on the reef by playing the food Web game and work together to solve environmental challenges.

To play the game, visit www.whyville.net.
