Tried and true fashion essentials for new moms

Here you are, getting ready to bring your bundle of joy into the world. This may be your first child, or maybe it’s your third. Whatever the case, you need to be prepared.

You’ve, of course, received endless (often unsolicited) amounts of suggestions about what you will need during and post pregnancy—and to be honest, you’re quite overwhelmed.

Thankfully, there are tried-and-true essentials every mom-to-be needs. Here are four of them.

A pretty hat

As you get into your third trimester and your body is consumed with fatigue, brushing your hair will be the least of your worries. Once you have baby and you are also consumed by fatigue, brushing your hair still will be the least of your worries. A good hat always comes in handy!

Comfy padded leggings

Yes, you read that right. There will come a time (if it hasn’t already) when your clothes will no longer fit. This is where comfy leggings come in. Our favorites are part of the Danielle Forte Collection. These pants will take you from pre- to post pregnancy effortlessly, and are baby bump friendly and easily can be taken from day to night!

Clogs

A great pair of shoes will prevent sore feet. Along with everything else, your feet will also suffer, so invest in a great pair of cute shoes. You will need a pair of ergonomically correct shoes like Dansko clogs. They provide all-day, maximum comfort, and they’re great for your joints.

The belly belt

If leggings aren’t your jam, may we interest you in a belly belt?

Belly belts are great for a number of reasons, including that they allow you to wear your non-maternity slacks while your belly grows. They’re also great for post pregnancy!
