Giada de Laurentiis is known for bringing some serious fox factor to the kitchen, not to mention creating delicious Italian eats on her Emmy-award winning Food Network show, Everyday Italian.
And, on Oct. 22, Laurentiis will be lending her culinary expertise to Chicagoans in celebration of 55 newly redesigned Target stores in the area.
Beyond thrilled to be chatting with Giada de Laurentiis about her life beyond pots + pans at Target’s event tomorrow. Stay tuned for the exclusive interview.
The redesign is all about giving busy parents more reasons to make the chain their one-stop shop. Stores will now feature an open-market grocery layout stocked with a selection of fresh produce, fresh meat and baked goods, and also include reinventions in other areas throughout the store such as beauty, home, shoes and electronics.
As part of the celebration, Target will host a grocery giveaway event on October 21 and 22 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 435 N. Michigan Avenue near the Tribune Plaza & Pioneer Court adjacent to the Tribune Tower.
Visit a special Target delivery truck Thursday and Friday parked right in the plaza to pick up a shopping bag filled with fresh groceries and an accompanying recipe to make a meal for the entire family, while supplies last.
On Friday, Laurentiis will perform a live cooking demonstration from 12-12:30 p.m. and sign copies of her latest cookbook, Giada At Home from 1-1:45 p.m. She’ll also hand out free groceries from the truck. Target will give away up to 500 free copies of Giada At Home.
Throughout 2010, Target will add approximately 350 new and remodeled locations nationwide. For more information or for locations in your area, please visit “Find a Store” at Target.com.
