Cribs can pose danger to infants

Short stuff: Recall roundup

Jardine has recalled 320,000 Berkley, Hilton, Positano, Spindle and Windsor (certain model numbers only) cribs sold through Toys‘R’ Us and Babies‘R’ Us because of entrapment hazards from broken slats and spindles. The company has had 42 reports of breakage, four entrapments and two injuries. Customers can return the crib to Jardine for a voucher for a new crib from Toys‘R’ Us or Babies‘R’ Us.

Stanley Furniture recalled 1,200 2nd Nature Built to Grow Cribs because they could fail to meet a federal safety standard for crib dimensions. The space between the mattress and the crib could be too wide, posing an entrapment hazard. Consumers can call Stanley Furniture at (888) 839-6822 to confirm that the crib is subject to the recall in order to receive a free replacement crib headboard.
