Radisson Blu teams with Crayola to give kids the most colorful day ever

All it takes to inspire dreams and cultivate creativity is a box of crayons and a few sheets of paper. If that’s true for your kids, imagine what they would do with room upon room of crayons, markers, paint and chalk.

The Crayola Experience Package is booking through May 21, 2017

Radisson Blu Mall of America knows that there is no brand more synonymous with childhood creativity than Crayola, which is why the hotel is offering a special package for families to experience the imagination-building, glee-inciting Crayola Experience, the latest addition to Mall of America’s lineup of all-star attractions.

The country’s third Crayola-themed museum — there are locations in Pennsylvania and Orlando — is easy for Chicago families to get to via a six-and-a-half hour car ride or a one-and-a-half hour flight.

After check-in, grab a meal at Radisson Blu’s on-site restaurant, FireLake Grill House, and then begin your colorful adventure.

Once inside the museum, your first stop will likely be the ‘Wrap It Up’ station that is easily a fan favorite. Choose from four different crayon colors and personalize your own authentic Crayola label. See if you can spot our *Heart* Chicago Parent crayon in this Instagram post from National Coloring Book Day.

At ‘Art Alive!’, spend time coloring a digital image and then watch it come to life on a huge projection screen. Don’t miss ‘Melt and Mold’ and ‘Drip Art’ where you can play with crayons in a whole new way; melt them down, mold them into new shapes and create souvenirs to take home.

And with 21 more creative stations ranging from classic (‘Colossal Caddy,’ where you choose from thousands of crayons for some honest-to-goodness coloring) to digital (‘You Design,’ where you design your own fashion outfit or race car and scan them to computers), you can easily spend the entire day making memories. But just in case you do need to duck out, re-entry is allowed with a hand stamp.

Take a lap around the Crayola Store on your way out to stock up on some one-of-a-kind goodies. Endless amount of possibilities come with that brand new box of crayons.
