Whether you’re a hockey buff or not, living in Chicagoland means you can’t help but catch a little bit of Blackhawks fever as they enter the Stanley Cup playoff series.
Three years ago, my hubby and I headed up to Daley Plaza with our 18-month-old and made a quick stop to see the Cup. Now that we’re on to round two, I find myself glued to the television just as much as he is!
But what would a playoff game celebration be without an homage to Pinterest? Here’s a round-up of some of my favorite ways to celebrate the skating sport as well as the team we all seem to be rooting for now.
Chicago Blackhawks coloring pages are the perfect way for your kids to get involved. Keep them busy during intermission or as you sit on the couch biting your nails, either way it’s a win-win. You might even consider having your little girl don this adorable bow.
For the ladies of the house, perhaps a pair of fur-lined boots are in order – even in June. Blackhawks bling anyone? My personal and most detailed favorite has to be this manicured nail idea.
Last but not least, our male fans would probably appreciate this tattoo. I’d also recommend this book 100 Things Blackhawks Should Know and Do Before They Die. This would probably make the perfect father’s day gift, especially considering the season we’re in! Even better, moms, why not create the perfect photo opp with dad’s favorite jersey and then pass along the picture as a gift?
How are you celebrating the playoffs this time around? Do you throw parties with delicious appetizers and hockey themed desserts?
If you’re not into the Chicago Blackhawks right now, then maybe you just came here looking for a Father’s Day Gift Guide. If that’s the case, I forgive you.
