Bikes at the Notebaert

Summer, bike rides and skinned knees seem to go together, so why not mark the start of the hot season at Bicycle Bonanza, Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum’s celebration of all things two-wheeled.

Kids can participate in a bike parade around North Pond, take part in a bike rodeo (a fun twist on basic riding and safety skills), decorate their bikes with recycled materials, and learn how to choose a bike and repair it.

Best of all, the whole family can discover the best spots in the city to ride bikes all summer long.

5:30-8:30 p.m. June 21. Free. 2430 N. Cannon Drive, Chicago. (773) 755-5100, naturemuseum.org.
