Kick off football season with the Bears Meijer Family Fest

Break out those Bears jerseys this weekend! Saturday’s Bears Meijer Family Fest is the perfect event for even the tiniest of tacklers.

The fun kicks off at 9:30 a.m. with fun activities outside Soldier Field. The real action begins at 11:35 a.m. when the team begins practice. This year will be a little different, with the last half of practice becoming a full tackle scrimmage, giving families the perfect opportunity to preview the team, says Vice President of Communication Scott Hagel.

Tickets, which range from $8-$12, are available at chicagobears.com/FamilyFest. Hagel recommends arriving early to enjoy the events outside the gates, but most importantly, he recommends bringing sunscreen.

The event also features live music, alumni autographs and giveaways. A youth football demonstration is planned for 10:15 a.m.

“It should be a great day for people that don’t normally get to see the Bears play,” Hagel says.

Use the promo code “15FEST” and save $2 per ticket. For more information, visit chicagobears.com/familyfest.
