3 new apple recipes your family will love

I’m also totally #TeamApple. (I’m not referring to the company that creates the Mac Air or iPhone, but for the record I’m on that team, too.)

Apples are not the pigeon of fruits. They are one of the most diverse and (Golden) delicious! All-American apple pie. Taffy apples. Apple cider donuts. Hello! I could go on and on.

They also say an apple a day keeps the doc away. As a great natural disease preventer, they are vitamin and mineral rich to keep colds and the flu at bay. How do you like them apples?

Gala, Fuji, Braeburn, Granny Smith and Honeycrisp (my favorite and the cream of the crop, literally) are just a few of the many types of apples ripe for the picking.

Chances are if you’re from Chicago you’ve already ventured into a local orchard for some prime apple picking. It goes without saying that I already made my annual trek. I went a little nutty and picked so many bushels and a peck, my house is exploding with apples, and there are only so many apples with peanut or almond butter one can eat.

I was determined to find new recipes that incorporated my affinity for all things apple and would be something my whole family would like. Below are a breakfast, lunch and dinner options I’m sure your family will love too.
