Is Anything Possible?

A conversation with my contemplative 5 year oldโ€ฆโ€ฆ

Camryn: Mom, is anything possible?

Me: Absolutely.

Camryn: But crayons can’t fly.

Me: Why not?

Camryn: I don’t knowโ€ฆ(and then she sits down to think)…

About 10 minutes laterโ€ฆ..

Camryn: What if I draw a crayon, and then cut it out, and then hold it in front of the fan. Then it will fly through the air!

Me: Sounds like crayons can fly.

Camryn: Whew….I’m so glad anything is possible.

Me: Me too.
