6 sexy romantic getaways less than four hours away

Sometimes, a little time away from the daily grind helps us to be better friends, partners, spouses and parents. That means logging off the interwebs; though, these places are pretty Instagram-worthy, so maybe they are worth an exception.

While it’s always nice to travel to sandy white beaches, many of us can’t take a trek that far away whenever we feel like it. These six Midwest spots are less than four hours away and will leave you feeling refreshed and recharged once again.

Goldmoor Inn

Jump in your car and drive west to Galena. This castle-like resort tops lists year after year for it’s cozy lodging, a spa, chef’s table dining experiences, winery and more.

There are two different cozy log cabins and three cottages (French, English or Irish-inspired). And while there is much to offer at the resort, Galena is a charming town that boasts a lot of character and charm with great restaurants, winery tours, casinos, skiing, antiquing and much more.
