More than 50 million blinds recalled

The federal government and the window industry recalled more than 50 million Roman-style shades and blinds because of the strangulation risk posed by the cords.

After report of five deaths and 16 near-deaths since 2006, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall Tuesday.
