Where to Order Cocktails to Go in Chicago

When planning your next date night at home, why not make it more exciting with some cocktails? Chicago recently made cocktails to go legal to help restaurants and bars during the coronavirus pandemic. For parents, it seems like the best way to start off date night with a pre-mixed alcoholic drink. We’ve rounded up some of our favorites below.

Tanta Chicago

When ordering takeout for date night, consider Peruvian for dinner. These cocktails-to-go are also served in a 750-ml bottle that holds about five cocktails. You can grab a bottle of Sangria or the La Rosita (mixed with vodka, rose, bitter bianco and Benedictine).

118 W. Grand Ave., Chicago

La Luna

Treat yourself to a pitcher of a margarita. La Luna has flavors like mango, peach, strawberry and raspberry. If you’re looking for something sweet, grab the Rum-Chata covered with whipped cream and caramel sauce.

1726 S. Racine Ave., Chicago

Ina Mae Tavern

This Wicker Park restaurant has gifted Chicagoans with a New Orleans treat — boozy snow balls! Cool down with these frozen drinks on a hot summer night and don’t forget to save some room for some of those sweet beignets.

1415 N. Wood St., Chicago

Lost Lake

The Logan Square tiki bar is serving their cocktails to go at their to-go window. Follow the bar on Instagram to see each week’s menu. If you love mixing cocktails, you can also pick up Daiquiri Frappé Kits and Classic Daiquiri Kits for $50 each (must order at least 48 hours in advance).

3154 W. Diversey Ave., Chicago

The Warbler Chicago

Walk up to The Warbler’s pick-up window and you can pick any cocktail from the menu, which gives you and your date plenty of options.

4535 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago

Virtue

If you don’t feel like sitting at Virtue’s patio, you can easily grab something to go, like the popular cocktail, Patience is a Virtue, or a classic Old Fashioned. Make your date night special with a Martini Kit to try at home.

1462 E. 53rd St., Chicago

Gaijin Chicago

Here’s another frozen drink to take advantage of this summer! Kakigori is Japanese shaved ice topped with sweetened condensed milk and a syrup flavor of your choice. Make it a Kaki-Tail by upgrading to a strawberry or lemon-flavored cocktail.
