Looking for something fun to do this week? The town of Homer Glen is holding its annual Homer Community Fest. This family-friendly event will feature musical acts, local food vendors, a carnival (including a separate carnival for Homer Glen residents with special needs), a parade, fireworks shows and more.
The fest is held at the Northeast corner of 151st and Creme in Homer Glen. There is no entrance fee so all you will have to pay for is food and beverages, and carnival rides, all of which are very reasonably priced.
Why kids will love the fest:
Carnival rides and fireworks!
New foods and dishes from local food vendors to enjoy
Entertainment that’s geared especially for kids
Watching the parade is fun
Why parents will love the fest:
The variety of bands ensures everyone will hear music they like
Beer tent!
It’s a great way to spend a day together as a family
Recently, I spoke to Mike Costa who is on the Homer Community Fest committee. The committee is still looking for volunteers to assist with the fest, so anyone interested in volunteering can apply to do so by calling the Homer Township office at 708.301.0522 or by visiting homerfest.com.
