Checking out holiday light displays is a tradition for many families. Luckily, the Schaumburg area has no shortage of festive displays sure to spark joy and spirit this season. Here are some of our favorites.

Festival of Lights at Old Town Park

December 5-31, 2023

The Festival of Lights returns for its tenth straight year! Pedestrians and motorists alike are treated to a sparkling display of holiday lights and sights in Old Town Park and Old Town Bloomingdale through New Year’s Day.  Family activities include holiday crafts, cookie decorating, story time, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more.

Holiday Lights in Lilacia Park

Dec. 2, 2023-Jan. 1, 2024

This annual holiday lights display illuminates Lilacia Park from 4:30 to 10 p.m. daily with magical light shows, tree decorations, a gingerbread house, and more! Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December, kids can visit with the big guy himself and enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies.

Sparkle Light Festival at Impact Field

Nov. 17, 2023-Dec. 31, 2024

  • Address: 9850 Balmoral Avenue, Rosemont
  • Cost: $24/adults, $18/children 2 to 12, free/under 2. Admission includes free train ride. Additional experiences, like the Alpine Slide are extra.

Sparkle Light Festival will once again light up Impact Field this winter. Guests can stroll through illuminated villages (Frozen Forest, North Pole, Snowflake Circle) with custom holiday displays that dazzle. There are plenty of photo ops — pose in front of a giant Santa, reindeer, Christmas tree, stacks of presents, walk through a light tunnel and more.
