Lords Park

  • Address: 100 Oakwood Blvd, Elgin

The playground at Lords Park is small, but mighty. In addition to plenty of unique net climbing structures, theyโ€™ve got slides and a music section. Lords Park also boasts a rare double swing without the baby seat. The coolest part? If you swing high enough, you can see the bison at the zoo.

Festival Park

  • Address: 132 S. Grove Avenue, Elgin

Festival Park has a playground/heated splash pad combo, making for the perfect day out during the warmer months. There are some areas geared towards the younger set (musical section, see saw), but the playgroundโ€™s main draws are the towers and giant slides and the bridge that connects them.ย

SEBA Park

  • Address: 151 S. Water St., South Elgin

Consistently among the top Chicagoland inclusive playgrounds, SEBA is equipped with adaptable swings and ramps that allow for parallel play for children with all abilities. Kids will love the nature-themed structures, rolly slide and climbing area. There is also an array of wheelchair-accessible play spaces.

Randall Oaks Park

  • Address: 151 S. Water St., South Elgin

Located in nearby West Dundee, Randall Oaks Park boasts 3 (yes, 3!) playgrounds. Our favorite is by far the hidden playground which features a huge, long zip line, various climbing structures, a seesaw, bucket swings and a sand pit.ย

Unity Park

  • Address: 970 Illinois Avenue, Elgin

This minimalist, nature-themed playground features freestanding climbing structures that make up an adventure course, which is unique to Elginโ€™s parks. Youngsters will also love the paved plaza imprints of animal tracks and plant leaves.
