That’s Weird, Grandma: House Par-Tay

PlayMakers Laboratory is taking its signature revue online with That’s Weird, Grandma: House Par-Tay, featuring a creative line-up of stories written by elementary school students, adapted and performed by professional actors using virtual means. That’s Weird, Grandma: House Par-Tay will include stories from PML’s “Submit Your Story Challenge,” which encourages students from across the nation to submit stories from home during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Storybook Yoga: A Virtual Mini-Series for Kids

Buddha Belly Kids Yoga is dedicated to nurturing kids’ innate desire for movement and play. Each class centers around a theme and is created with an educator’s touch. In storybook yoga, we flow through a sequence of fun and creative poses that embody the story; bringing literature to life. From here, the magic of yoga unfolds.
Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival
Hosted By: Fox Valley Folklore Society & The Geneva Park District

Apsáalooke Women and Warriors
Where: Field Museum, 1400 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago
Apsáalooke Women and Warriors (pronounced “Ahp-SAH-luh-guh”) explores the history, values, and beliefs of this Native American community known for their horsemanship, artistic pursuits, and matriarchal ways of life, including the tradition of “counting coup”—performing acts of bravery.
Dinos Everywhere!
Where: Brookfield Zoo, 8400 31st St., Brookfield
Dinos Everywhere features acres of earth shakers, including the largest—argentinosaurus—that was estimated to measure more than 100 feet in length and weigh up to 110 tons. Zoogoers will be able to search for these 45 amazing life-like animatronics that will be located throughout the park.
Dinosaur Adventure Drive-Thru
Where: DuPage County Fair, 2015 Manchester Road, Wheaton
Dinosaur Adventure Drive-Thru takes families on an interactive tour with 80 life-sized dinosaurs. While exploring the path, little paleontologists can also listen to an audio tour to learn more about the prehistoric creatures. The roaring experience will include a 40-foot Tyrannosaurus rex, 30-foot brachiosaurus, baby dinosaurs and more.
