While rare in the Chicagoland area, we found a few hidden gem toy stores near Skokie that are worth venturing out to.
The Wild Child Toys
With North Shore locations in Wilmette and Glencoe, The Wild Child features a unique selection of books, toys, dolls, clothes, stuffed animals, jewelry, artwork, crafts and science projects. The store also stocks a huge collection of games — board games, interactive games, and trivia and adventure for the entire family to enjoy!
Beat Street Toys

Beat Street is the North Shore’s destination for toys and gifts. They offer over 70,000 items for customers to choose from – ranging from games, plush and tin toys to classic toys and retro favorites. The toys are all curated by owner Julie Winsor, a former art teacher who is passionate about helping kids find their creative outlet through play.
Children’s Gift Shop
