Portillo’s Pop-Up makes its iconic food picture perfect

If you find yourself near Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg through the end of the year, make a quick stop at the free Portillo’s Pop-Up Experience for a cool photo opp and maybe some take-and-make goodies to get dinner on the table when you get home.

Portillo’s wanted “to bring our food to life for our fans by creating an experience,” says Vallory Farrasso, one of the many happy faces of Portillo’s.

What you’ll find in that experience: A giant onion ring swing, an “I’ve Only Got Fries For You” French fry room with giant French fries for a cool pic for the ‘gram, and three photo booths where you and the kids can become a famous Portillo’s Italian beef sandwich, a Portillo’s Chicago hot dog and an ingredient in the chopped salad bowl.

The Pop-Up, located in the southwest corner of Woodfield Mall, also features staff on hand to help you easily plan out your catering needs big and small for the holidays.

Its retail wall also features some fun Portillo’s apparel, gift cards and toys (weiner dogs!) and of course, you can pick up the to-die-for Portillo’s classic chocolate cake.
