7 kid-friendly nail salons and spas around Chicagoland

Need a manicure, but don’t have a babysitter? No problem! Bring your littles along and sneak a little bonding time in while you’re getting pampered at one of Chicago’s many family-friendly salons.

Lilies & Spikes

This Oak Park spot specializes in salon services for kids, tweens and teens, but parents are encouraged to join in on the fun, too. Lilies & Spikes offers affordable haircuts (starting at just $18 for kids), along with mommy-and-me manis and pedis, and waxing services for teens and adults. And how fabulous does a spa-themed birthday party sound? The salon has packages that include everything from mini facials to faux tattoo application for your kid’s special day. Your inner 12 year old will be so jealous.

1105 Chicago Ave., Oak Park

Mojo Spa

Mojo is a completely natural nail salon so you can feel at ease knowing your kids won’t be subjected to harmful ingredients while getting a mani or pedi. In addition to featuring clean products, the salon has a colorful, bohemian atmosphere and seriously affordable prices (just $10 for a children’s mani!). Be sure to grab a cupcake-shaped soap from Mojo’s ultra-hip skincare boutique on the way out.

1468 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago

Gingerslam

The Rogers Park nail salon has kids in mind with its use of non-toxic products, and is a long-time member of the community. A mani/pedi combo for kids is just $27, and the staff will work with patrons to find the right combo of color and style.

6622 N. Clark St., Chicago

ASHA Salon Spa

Teens can enjoy a day of pampering with massages, facials or even both (not to worry, parents will join kids under 16 for a massage). With locations around the city and suburbs, teens can spend a day with their friends being pampered and can even learn how to create their own signature perfumes.

Chocolate For Your Body

Of course, chocolate is delicious to eat, but cocoa also contains vitamins and antioxidants that can help nourish the skin. Bring your mini along for a day of delicious pampering. The spa has several mommy/daughter packages to choose from that include massage treatments, pedicures and body scrubs. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and smelling head to toe like chocolate (not at all a bad thing).

1743 S. Halsted St., Chicago

Spa at The Ritz-Carlton

Recommended for ages 5-12, kids can enjoy a treatment that includes a mask, exfoliation and a polish to perk their sweet tooth. Pampered kiddos will also be treated to a sweet treat, from brownies to crispy pops. The 60-minute sessions are $90 and include a massage.

160 E. Pearson Street at Water Tower Place, Chicago

Pearl’s Nails

Princesses (how Pearl’s refers to kids under 10) will feel like royalty. Customers of all ages are offered a drink when they enter the store, and juice boxes are on hand for the princesses. Nail services for littles start at $8, so it won’t break the bank for a girls’ day!
